The Bright Beginnings Learning Center offers developmentally appropriate activities for children. Two different preschool programs are offered: a four-five year old program and a three-four year old program. The preschool provides opportunities for children to work on their listening skills, social skills and creativity. The alphabet, numbers and pre-reading skills are part of the curriculum. The preschool is offered for a minimal cost. Please register early, as classes are limited. You may do this by calling Brenda at 605-337-9794. The preschool program runs through the school year, two days a week from 8:15 to 11:15 a.m. Bright Beginnings Learning Center is also a State Certified Daycare Center with 6+ employees operating Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. and is located 1 block from the school.

Our building houses the staff for the Region 3 ESA division.

Platte-Geddes Community School District includes 460 square miles and has an enrollment of 425. The school system has two attendance centers in Platte that include Platte-Geddes Elementary and Platte-Geddes High School. There are also two rural attendance centers: Cedar Grove Colony and Platte Colony.
