Platte has many options for lodging that give visitors a taste of its culture and Midwestern hospitality.
Set on the edge of Platte, American Wingshooting Lodge sleeps up to 16 people and offers all-inclusive pheasant hunts.
If you’re here for recreation, the Buryanek Bay Bunkhouse is perfect for you. Located 21 miles west of Platte, it is a great location for hunters, fishers and vacationers. Six units sleep 5-10 people with a spacious roundup room for everyone to gather.
The Dakota Prairie Inn & Suites features modern rooms, a hot tub suite and cable TV. For those spending time on the water, it also offers free fish freezing.
Dock 44 has cabins for rent with a beautiful view of the Missouri River. Cabin rental includes a dock rental. No need to put your boat in and out of the water each time you want to go fishing—take the kids skiing, tubing, or just cruise down the river anytime you please.
The Homestead is a great place to stay if you’re traveling with a group. The ranch home has room to sleep 12 and has a fully-furnished kitchen and family room.
Hunters and fishers will feel at home at Huggs Hunting Hideaway with its themed decor. This is a great place for a large group, with 10 beds and two bathrooms.
The King’s Inn treats every guest as royalty. Kids will love the indoor pool, and adults can relax in the hot tub after a long day. Enjoy waking up to continental breakfast.
Located on the boulevard in Platte, Molly’s Manor is the perfect gathering place for family and friends. Guests enjoy newly remodeled bedrooms with private baths, sunroom, living room, dining area, and home-cooked meals for breakfast.
If you’re looking for a place to stay on a hunting or fishing trip, Platte Creek Lodge is the place. It offers a full kitchen and can accommodate groups of 4-16. It also provides guide service to hunters and fishers.
Prairie Skies Country Inn is located 13 minutes from Platte. Guests can soak in rural South Dakota while enjoying the comforts and modern conveniences of home. The Inn includes five bedrooms with private baths, full kitchen, living/dining area, grill, fire pit, and Jacuzzi. Fully-guided pheasant hunts are also available.
River Ridge Lodge is set in a cedar filled draw with an amazing view of the Missouri river hills. The lodge has three bedrooms, a loft area, full kitchen, large family room, and is minutes from Platte and the boat dock at Platte Creek.
Torrey Lake Hunting Lodge is located 10 miles north of Platte and specializes in corporate and group hunting experiences. It offers customized packages to appeal to every visitor and ensure that everyone feels at home. The lodge is open for hunting September 1 through March 31 and for meetings, retreats, reunions, and conventions the remainder of the year.
If you’re looking to rough it while visiting the Platte area, our location near the Missouri River offers many great camping opportunities. The Department of Game, Fish and Parks owns and manages three modern campgrounds in the area. Snake Creek and Platte Creek Recreation Area are located on the east side of the river, while Buryanek Recreation Area is located on the west side.
There are a total of 214 campsites between the three campgrounds and all but 23 sites offer electrical service. All camping areas have modern restrooms and shower facilities, dump stations, boat ramps and fish-cleaning stations. Snake Creek Recreation Area also has a floating fuel dock and a marina, which includes a restaurant, lounge, convenience store and bait shop.
Cabins nestled in wooded trees or over-looking the water can be rented at Snake Creek and Buryanek areas.
